Easter Eggs, Easter Bonnets, the Easter Bunny… and a Kegerator?

Easter Eggs, Easter Bonnets, the Easter Bunny... and a Kegerator?

Easter is a springtime holiday that always falls on a Sunday between the dates of March 22nd and April 25th, depending on the year. It is a religious holiday, but like Christmas, it is one that has developed many secular traditions over the years as well.

The celebration of Easter is a Christian holiday, and commemorates the date of the resurrection of Christ. It also marks the end of Lent, which is characterized by a period of penance and prayer. Therefore, Easter Sunday is also seen as a day of indulgence and enjoyment of those things that have been given up during the period that precedes the holiday.

The Easter holiday is filled with all things fun and enjoyable. Whether that is Easter baskets filled with loads of candy or brightly colored Easter eggs that have been decorated with abandon, the day is also always filled with a big holiday feast, usually shared with family and/or friends. So, what’s the connection to all of these Easter related icons and a kegerator? Well, a kegerator certainly fits the bill for “all things fun and enjoyable”, doesn’t it?

If we’re talking about indulgence and celebration to mark the end of a period of time in which we have given up certain habits in order to repent, then it is very likely that drinking beer is on the list of many an adult that have chosen to give up the beverage during the Lenten season. Therefore, it is on Easter Sunday that the coveted brew can once again be enjoyed. And what better way to enjoy a beer after abstaining for a period of time than from a kegerator, where you can be sure that the beer than flows from that kegerator spout will be fresh, cold and delicious?

Of course, the holiday is also a day to share a big meal with those closest to you and to indulge a bit if you want. So, whether that is too much candy, or a few brews from your kegerator, you should take solace in the knowledge that today is a day that it’s okay to just enjoy yourself. If the celebration is at your house this Easter, and you happen to own a kegerator, certainly make sure that you have enough beer to go around in order to be able to satisfactorily quench the thirst of all the adults in the house. After all, the kids will probably be stuffing themselves silly with candy all day, so you should all have a chance to enjoy the contents of your kegerator as well!

When you are planning your upcoming Easter family get-together, make sure you have all of the essentials to celebrate the day. A delicious dinner, most probably with ham taking center stage as well as all of the delicious fixings to go along with it, lots of candy, a bunch of brightly colored and beautifully decorated eggs, a couple of really frilly pastel-colored Easter bonnets, and a kegerator with some delicious tasting beer inside (if you only have a mini kegerator, that’s fine, too – you’ll still have plenty to go around and you can always make sure you have a spare mini keg or two waiting in the wings in case you need to tap into it). You may even want to add a few little special surprises delivered by the Easter Bunny, but that’s entirely up to you. As long as you have your family and friends around, the rest of the holiday “essentials” are just icing on the cake.

Let a Kegerator Help You Deal With Tax Day

Let Your Kegerator Help You Deal With Tax Day

Tax day is one of those days that make many people cringe. The thought of April 15th, and the knowledge that your taxes must be completed and mailed to the IRS by that date (not to mention the hefty sums that you may have to send in with your tax return), has caused that mid-April day to be one that is met with a bit of disdain. That is, unless you are an accountant, and then you know that April 15th is the day you get your freedom back and stop working 15 hour days to get everyone else’s tax returns completed in time.

Either way, a kegerator is one of those unexpected accessories that may be a welcome addition to your April 15th routine. Whether you are dreading the day because you know that you need to send your taxes in and you owe a lot of money, or you are on the other end of the spectrum and eagerly anticipate the day for months because you know it is when life returns to normalcy, there is definitely a place for an afternoon or evening spent worshipping your kegerator.

Think of it this way – if you’re in a crappy mood because the government is taking all of your hard earned money in taxes, what better way to stop worrying about things you can’t control than to grab a frosty mug, mosey up to your kegerator, flip the kegerator tap so that a bit of liquid gold comes pouring out to fill that mug, and then take a seat to enjoy the rich, fresh taste of your draft beer while you let your worries roll off your back.

If one trip to the kegerator isn’t enough to cure your tax day blues, then the answer is relatively simple – just take another trip or two back to that kegerator until you start to feel better. Just make sure you don’t make too many trips to your favorite draft beer dispenser, unless tax day falls on a weekend this year, because tomorrow you have to head back to work to start earning a bit more to give to Uncle Sam next year, and also of course, to refill your kegerator.

If, on the other hand, you are one of the many accountants that makes their bread and butter during the months preceding tax day, but works their fingers to the bone during that time, then April 15th is a day worth celebrating. No longer will you need to work long, grueling days, dealing with other people’s financial woes. It’s back to business as usual for the rest of the year, or at least until New Year’s Day rolls around. But before that relaxing schedule starts to set in, it’s worth also celebrating the fact that tax day for you as an accountant is like Christmas in April, since it is the time of the year that brings you the most financial reward.

That celebratory day is another reason to enjoy the contents of your kegerator. If you have a mini kegerator, you may even want to consider bringing it into work so as soon as the last tax return is mailed, your co-workers and you can start the celebration with no wasted time. Of course, if you plan on bringing your mini kegerator to work, be sure to check with your boss first, or it may be the last tax day you are employed at your current place of business.

So, if you are looking for a great way to deal with tax day, whether to beat the tax day blues or to celebrate the end of a long, difficult work schedule, a large paycheck and the beginning of a more normal life for the rest of the year, then grab a mug and head to your nearest kegerator.

Your Kegerator Can Save You Some Green On St. Patrick's Day

Your Kegerator Can Save You Some Green On St. Patrick's Day

March 17th of each year is virtually defined by the color green. Everywhere you look on that day in mid-March you will find people wearing green, will see streets and buildings decorated in green, and you’ll even find people eating green bagels and drinking green beer. Why? Because it’s St. Patrick’s Day, of course!

If ever there were a holiday that went hand in hand with ownership of a kegerator, it would be St. Patrick’s Day. When most people think of this holiday, they think of wearing green and drinking some type of alcoholic beverage – usually beer. It doesn’t matter whether you’re Irish or not when March 17th rolls around. Everyone is Irish on St. Patty’s Day! And almost everyone wears something green and probably has a drink or two (or more!) in celebration. In fact, St. Patty’s Day is noted as being one of the biggest days for the consumption of alcoholic beverages, and also one of the busiest days for bars, especially those with a bit of the ol’ Irish in them.

While it is certainly fun to hit the bars and pubs along with the rest of the crowd, a day spent pub crawling can get pretty expensive – and pretty ugly – by the end of the day. So, if you’re looking to save some green on this, the greenest of all holidays, then invite a bunch of friends over to your place to enjoy your kegerator!

If you don’t want to foot the bill for all the beer consumed from your kegerator, because it might get rather pricey to be filling the mugs of some very “Irish” people that day, have a St. Patty’s Day keg party where everyone contributes a small fee but you organize the festivities and supply the kegerator filled with beer. Or you can foot the bill for all the beer your kegerator can hold and ask your guests to supply the food. Either way, even if you wind up paying for it all, you will be enjoying a day of celebration in honor of St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland, amongst all of your friends, right in the comfort of your own home.

What’s so great about having a kegerator inspired party in your home on St. Patrick’s Day rather than hitting the bars? Well, for one, you are surrounded by just your friends, rather than a bunch of drunken, rowdy people that can get obnoxious or even cause unwanted trouble. You also don’t have to deal with all the crowds at the bar or in the restaurants and all that comes with that, such as long wait times, difficulty getting to the bar to place your drink order, and more.

Another benefit to hanging out around your own kegerator is that you don’t have to drive home at the end of a long day or night of celebrating, or figure out another way home. By having the party at your house, you still have all the benefits of heading to a bar, since you have the great tasting beer in your kegerator to wet your whistle, but you don’t have to deal with potentially dangerous traveling. And you can even ask your guests to stay if they’ve made a few too many trips to tap the kegerator.

So, when St. Patty’s Day rolls around and you start making your plans for an appropriate celebration of the patron saint, consider the benefits that your trusty ol’ kegerator can provide. Not only can it help you save some green, but it may make your friends green with envy that you have your very own draft beer dispenser right at home. But that’s okay – being green is what St. Patrick’s day is all about, after all!

What do President's Day and Kegerators Have in Common?

Presidents Day and Kegerators

Every February, our nation celebrates the birthdays of two of our greatest presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, on a federal holiday known as Presidents Day. The holiday is always celebrated on the third Monday in February, although Washington’s birthday is actually on February 22nd, and Lincoln’s is on February 12th.

On President’s Day, government offices are closed, as are most schools and many businesses. But what does this holiday, that falls smack in the middle of the coldest part of winter, have to do with kegerators? Well, probably absolutely nothing. There were no kegerators around back in the days of Washington and Lincoln, although we’re sure that they still sat around and had their share of “adult” beverages back in the day. But, it is after all a celebration of a birthday – in fact, two birthdays – so what better way to celebrate a birthday than to break out the kegerator and have a party!

Ok, so it might not be your birthday, or even your friend’s birthday, but nonetheless, it’s a day off from work and a nice long weekend at a point in the year where you can desperately use a day off from trudging to work through slushy and icy covered roads, teeth chattering as your car tries to warm up as it skids down the road. So, what better time to gather some friends, set out some good (warm!) food, and let the kegerator start flowing? Call it a birthday party if you want, but even if you don’t, it’s a great excuse to have some fun with family and friends.

If you’re one of the lucky ones that uses this long weekend as an excuse to get away for a few days, whether it’s to hit the slopes with skis or snowboards in hand, or just to cozy up next to a fire in a cabin in the mountains with your sweetie, be sure to bring along your mini kegerator if you have one, to save you from coming home with a big bar bill from the local tavern in the mountain town you are visiting.

By bringing along a mini kegerator on your trip, you can enjoy a nice mug or two of beer with your significant other or a bunch of friends (depending on who you’re with) in the comfort of your hotel room or comfy cabin. If you have a fireplace where you are staying, this is the perfect place to enjoy a drink from your mini kegerator as the snow gently falls outside. If you are vacationing with your kids, you can enjoy a quiet adult beverage once the kids go to sleep, rather than just grabbing a soda and a bag of chips out of the vending machine down the hall.

The best thing about bringing along your mini kegerator on a trip like this is that you don’t have to worry about driving on snow covered or icy mountain roads after you’ve spent some time over dinner and a few drinks. Of course, you should never do that anyway, no matter where you are, but it’s vacation time, so it’s nice to know you can still have a few drinks to relax and unwind right in the comfort of the place you are staying.

So, while its hard to find much of a correlation between Presidents Day itself and kegerators, there is certainly a time and a place for enjoying the contents of a kegerator – and celebrating a birthday (even if it’s a few presidents that lived long before your time) or relaxing on vacation are two perfect “kegerator moments”.

For Valentines Day, Get Your Sweetie a New Kegerator

Get Your Sweetie a New Kegerator

Ah, Valentine’s Day – the day for lovers and for professing your love. Very often that is accomplished with candlelit dinners, sweet, sappy cards, and gifts. Flowers, jewelry and candy top the list of gifts for the ladies. But how do women reciprocate with a gift for their favorite man? Very often, that leaves many women stumped. How do they find something that is romantic and that shows the man in their life how much they love them?

Well, we’ve got the perfect solution for those who have given their hearts to beer-loving men. Get them a kegerator! What better way to say “I love you” than to give your guy a gift that he is sure to love for years to come? A kegerator is the perfect accessory for a guy with a home bar, a pool table or game room or the often-coveted man cave. But, it is not just for guys that want to sit around drinking beer in white t-shirts with a bunch of other guys. A kegerator is also the perfect gift for those who love to brew their own beer, or have very discerning tastes and love specialty imported beers. See our Online Kegerator Selector Tool to find the right kegerator for your special guy.

In fact, there is a kegerator type and kegerator style for just about any kind of guy (and for a guy that is with any kind of woman). There are small mini kegerators that are table top models. They are upscale mini versions of traditional draft beer dispensers and can easily fit into just about any type of décor. Some of these mini kegerators are made specifically to hold imported, great tasting mini kegs of beer, such as Heineken, while others are made to dispense just about any type of beer. There are even those that have special equipment for dispensing international stout beers, for the international beer lover. Another great benefit to mini kegerators is that they can be taken on the go, so if your guy loves to go camping or you love to spend an afternoon tailgating together, that mini kegerator can come along for the ride and will always be ready to keep the party rolling.

There are other models of kegerators to consider as well. The type you choose for your beer loving man will depend on where you think he’ll put it, how much he loves beer, and how much you love him – or at least are willing to spend to show him that love. There are single tap kegerators and double tap kegerators. Some fit full or pony sized kegs, while others fit smaller keg sizes. The models with double taps even can accommodate two different types of beer to be dispensed from the kegerator.

There are even models where the kegerator is combined with a small regular fridge or glass fridge, so you can benefit as well. If you don’t love beer and prefer to fill the accompanying fridge with flavored malt beverages or even wine, the kegerator/fridge combo can become a home bar in and of itself.

So, if you are stumped about how to truly show your man that you love him – and want to give him something that he will love about as much as you will love the new diamond earrings you were hinting at the last time you strolled by the jewelry store – then get him a kegerator. It is a gift that you can both enjoy together and like diamonds, it’s a gift that keeps on giving.

How Would A Mini Kegerator Affect Groundhog Day?

Ground Hog Day

February 2nd of each year officially marks the day that a groundhog emerges from his burrow to let us know whether it will be an early spring or if we have to endure six more weeks of winter. This holiday, known as Groundhog Day, is steeped in tradition and history. But what if Punxatawny Phil, the most famous of season-predicting groundhogs, along with some of his Groundhog Day buddies around the country, spent the morning sitting around their own personal mini kegerators before emerging from their holes? Would a kegerator-and-beer-laden groundhog be any less accurate in predicting the end of winter?

Who knows? We’ll never know the answer to that, because our trusty little groundhog friends are obviously not going to be sitting around a mini beer dispenser in their dirt-filled burrows in the ground before showing their cute little furry faces above ground on February 2nd. But, it might be a funny sight if they did.

Folklore tells us that the groundhog is very powerful in predicting the coming spring. According to the story, if the groundhog sees its shadow when he emerges from his burrow, there will be six more weeks of winter. If not, we will enjoy an early spring. Now, we’re sure the weather and the fact that it may be sunny or cloudy on that day has nothing to do with the outcome of the groundhog’s little outing, right? According to proponents of Groundhog Day, the groundhog is right about 75 – 90% of the time. Others have put the little guy’s prediction accuracy rate closer to 40% or less.

So, let’s imagine Punxatawney Phil and his groundhog friends spending the morning, or even the previous night, sitting around their mini kegerator, using their furry little paws to flip the kegerator tap so that they can enjoy some cold, fresh beer before making the journey out into the bright light above. What do you think would happen?

For one, there would probably be plenty of groundhog-style jokes around the mini keg about how ridiculous humans were for relying on them to predict the coming spring. They’d probably spend the morning laughing as they emptied the contents of their mini kegerator, deciding whether they should mess with the heads of the thousands that came to watch them just to see whether they came out of their burrow or retreated back inside once they saw their shadow.

Then of course, there would be the actual outing itself. After a kegerator induced haze set in, the groundhog might leave his burrow, stumble around a little, and fall down before he could decide whether or not to truly emerge from his hole or to retreat back inside because he saw his shadow. That might in and of itself prove to be worth the price of admission!

Well, we doubt that there will be mini kegerators lowered into groundhog burrows around the country anytime soon or that the furry critters will figure out how to operate a kegerator tap, but never fear – there is a still a place for kegerators on Groundhog’s Day. After all, thousands of people around the country gather in various towns to hold morning festivals and celebrations to watch the groundhog emerge from his burrow. There are Groundhog Lodges and other groups that get together and organize big social outings, filled with food, beer and entertainment. And where there is beer, there is certainly room for a kegerator or two to serve the beer fresh from the tap.

So, when Groundhog Day comes rolling around, make sure there is a kegerator on hand, filled with some tasty German beer, because after all, the holiday itself is a German custom, and you know how Germans like their beer! Then sit back and think about what it would be like if Punxatawney Phil had just emerged from his own social outing around his own mini kegerator, and you’re sure to have a few good laughs on a cold winter day!

After A Day of Service on MLK Day, It's Kegerator Time!

Martin Luther King Day

Martin Luther King Day, also known as MLK Day, is a federal holiday in the United States dedicated to the remembrance of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is observed on the third Monday of January, which coincides with the date of Dr. King’s birthday, which is on January 15th. The holiday has come to be observed as a day of service, spurring Americans to spend the day giving back to the community in some way by volunteering their time and effort to make this world a better place.

If you are one of the thousands of Americans that truly honor the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King by getting out within the community to volunteer your services, then you should pat yourself on the back. And when you return home at the end of the day, if you have a home kegerator, you should pour yourself a fresh, draft beer and take a moment to reflect on Dr. King’s vision, as well as the part you have played on this day in bringing that vision closer to reality. Sure, there’s no correlation between the holiday of Martin Luther King Day and kegerators or beer, but the point is this – if you are one of the upstanding citizens of this country that believes in the importance of getting out there and giving back to your community, then you deserve that kegerator, and you certainly deserve that beer at the end of the day.

Better yet, consider bringing out a whole group of people to volunteer with you on this national day of service. Volunteering together as a group is fun, and it brings people closer together. It also motivates people to do more than they would do alone. Then, when your volunteer activity is completed, invite everyone back to your house to gather round your trusty kegerator and share a few drinks, and a few stories of the day. Sure, this isn’t quite the same type of festive holiday as Thanksgiving or Christmas, where you expect to gather with family and friends and give thanks for the blessings of the day. Nevertheless, in the same tradition as holidays such as Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Day is a day to give thanks for the ways that this world has changed in the time since Dr. King’s famous speech. If that happens to get done while gathering around an in home kegerator, so be it. Celebration is celebration.

Of course, you don’t need a kegerator to celebrate the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King. But it is nice to have one (or even a mini kegerator) to come home to at the end of a hard day’s work. On this day, many schools and businesses are closed. This means it is also a good opportunity for family and friends to come together. And anytime that you get an opportunity to get together like that, rather than having to head to the office, it is worth inviting a few friends over to share a few beers straight from your kegerator. It’s better and cheaper than heading to the local bar or tavern, and it gives you a chance to unwind and socialize right in the comfort of your own home.

Remember however, that MLK Day always falls on a Monday. That means that there is still a long week of work ahead for most people. So, while you may want to tap the kegerator so you can have a beer or two, leave it at that, or you’ll be feeling the effects as you head off to work the next morning, knowing that it’s only Tuesday and you have to make it through a long week.

A New Year for Football and Kegerators

After a night spent celebrating on New Year’s Eve, for many New Year’s Day is a day to sleep late, deal with a hangover from the night before and then spend the day watching college football. For those that enjoy a few beers along with football viewing, or are planning to have a get-together to continue the celebration on this day off (whether to watch football or simply relax), tapping the kegerator is a part of this first day of the year.

Football and Kegerators

If you hosted a party the night before and didn’t own a kegerator, you may also be spending the day cleaning up lots of bottles and cans from the drinks imbibed by your guests during your New Year’s Eve festivities. And you also may be out of beer, which would mean you’d either have to watch football without being able to have a cold beer, or you’d have to run to the store to buy some more.

But if you own a kegerator, chances are that you still have enough beer left to enjoy a drink or two while watching the games, and you also don’t have a lot to clean up, other than maybe a few cups or mugs. So, all that’s left to do on this first day of the new year is to relax and to enjoy.

It is a tradition of many people to spend the day gathered with friends and family to watch football throughout the day and evening. New Year’s Day is one of the biggest football television viewing days of the year, and there is no lack of games to watch. As with many other football “big events”, drinking beer and eating good food are very much a part of the activities of the day. So, if you have a kegerator, hit the tap and pour a few cold ones for your football viewing buddies, take out the chicken wings and pizza, nachos, or whatever your game day food of choice is, and start cheering for your favorite team. The kegerator will supply the beer throughout the day – all you need to do is make sure that you don’t run out of food before the last game ends.

Even if you only have a mini kegerator, or if you got one as a Christmas present this year, New Year’s Day is the perfect time to time to take your new mini kegerator out of the box, pop in a mini keg of beer (that’s about 5 liters of fresh, cold beer to enjoy throughout the day with friends and family!), and enjoy!

Sure, you can get through the day without a kegerator and even without a beer, but one of the best ways to deal with a hangover, as well as to relax and enjoy the game, is to sit back on the couch with a cold beer or two, surrounded by good friends and fattening food. After all, there’s always tomorrow to start focusing on your more serious new year’s resolutions – today is a day for celebrating, relaxing, cheering on your favorite teams and enjoying yourself.

Fill the Kegerator – It's New Year's Eve

New Year’s Eve has always been a night to celebrate and rejoice – to ring out the old year and ring in the new one. This is one of the biggest nights of the year for parties and get-togethers, and therefore is a night that kegerators get put to good use.

New Years Eve Kegerator

While many people associate champagne with New Year’s Eve, the truth is that most people do not spend the night drinking champagne only. If they did, they’d probably have a wicked hangover the next day, not to mention the expense that the bubbly would wind up setting them back. Instead, most people spend the night enjoying their favorite drinks among friends, possibly making a champagne toast sometime around the stroke of midnight.

So, if you are planning a party for New Year’s Eve and are fortunate enough to own a kegerator, you’re in luck! Kegerators are a great way to provide alcoholic beverages for a crowd easily and economically. Buying a keg, or a half keg of beer as many kegerators hold, is a lot cheaper than buying an equal amount of beer in cans or bottles. And it is certainly a lot less expensive than buying wine or hard liquor for a crowd.

Not only is a kegerator an inexpensive way to provide drinks at a party, but it is fun, too! Most people love the idea of using a real beer keg in someone’s home and a kegerator makes them feel like they are out at a bar, except they can operate the tap on their own – and without having to tip the bartender! The beer dispensed in a kegerator is usually ice cold and super fresh, just like a draft beer would be at the local bar. When you host a party and own a kegerator, the appliance usually becomes the central gathering point of the party and is where all the fun begins.

So, if you are planning on hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration this year, break out the kegerator, make sure it’s full (or that you have a spare keg on hand ready to be tapped) and make your guest list. Then get some munchies or ask everyone to bring their favorite snack and turn on some good music. To really make the evening festive, you can even consider hanging a few decorations or even just a couple of bunches of balloons, and getting some hats and noisemakers. Party stores often have News Year’s Eve party kits, complete with hats, tiaras, noisemakers and even confetti so that everyone can be well-outfitted when the glittering ball starts to drop in Times Square.

Kegerators are a great way to enjoy the celebration of the impending new year, but it is important to make sure that all guests drink responsibility and that they do not head out on the road if they’ve had a few too many. Better to be safe than sorry and either have designated drivers, call cabs to get your friends and loved ones home, or turn your New Year’s Eve celebration into a slumber party, so everyone can crash until the next morning. After all, if you let everyone stay, the celebration can continue into New Year’s Day!

It's Christmas Eve. Time to Tap the Kegerator!

Christmas Eve Kegerator

Christmas Eve. In popular songs, it’s a night filled with wonder and hope, excitement and anticipation. At least if you’re a kid. As a small child, you put on your new pair of jammies and hustle off to bed, awaiting the arrival of the jolly ol’ man himself and all the gifts that he brings. For some, sleep comes quickly, because they know that Santa can’t arrive until they are fast asleep. For others, the excitement of what is to come makes them toss and turn all night long.

But what if you’re an adult on Christmas Eve? Chances are that you have loads to do to make the upcoming Christmas Day one that is extra special. There may be gifts to wrap, trees to decorate, lights to hang, and food to prepare for family and friends. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? That’s why it’s a good idea to tap into your home kegerator to set the mood and make the long to-do list a bit more palatable.

If you have a kegerator, or even a mini kegerator, you probably already know how good it can taste to fill up a nice cold, frosty mug of beer. On a night such as Christmas Eve, which can sometimes turn into a stressful time filled with lots to do, a kegerator can be a lifesaver – giving you a chance to relax and unwind a bit as you cross things off your list one by one.

Sure, you can also open a can or bottle of beer that’s sitting in the fridge, but the taste of a draft beer straight from the kegerator tap is smooth and appealing on a busy winter night. And chances are, there’s no room in your fridge anyway because it’s filled with all the fixings for tomorrow’s big holiday meal. So, unless you have an extra fridge in the garage or basement, or you have a kegerator, you may not have access to that great tasting beer at all.

Why drink beer on Christmas Eve, rather than wine or even egg nog?
We’re not saying you can’t, but if you like beer, you like beer. Wine can make you sleepy, and you can’t afford to be sleepy on a night like this – there’s too much to do. Egg nog is a great drink to have once you’re all gathered together in celebration of the holiday, but it is rather heavy and sweet and is not the type of drink you typically have on its own, without the accompanying holiday festivities.

So, once you get the kids to bed, why not thinking of heading over to your kegerator with your spouse and taking a few minutes to share a refreshing beer together as you plan your night’s activities. Then you can divide up the chores, put on some festive music, and get to wrapping, and decorating, and preparing food for the day ahead. Make it a point to reconvene by the kegerator, or by the fireplace if you’re looking for something cozy, at the end of the evening, to maybe share one last drink and rejoice in the excitement that the holiday brings, despite all the work that may be involved now that you’re an adult and not a wide-eyed child. Then call it a night, and head off to bed, dreaming of the joy-filled day that lies ahead.
