Free Kegerator

Can you believe it? I’m giving a kegerator away for free! You might think I’ve lost my mind, but it’s really a good thing for everyone.

The lucky winner will receive a free kegerator and I will get all the free publicity as you, my fellow beer lovers, pass the contest around on the internet to your friends, family and co-workers.

The skinny on the contest is as follows.

I’ve created our first ever Kegerators.com kegerator give-away contest to be awarded to the beer lover with the best story of why they deserve this bad boy!

National Keg Beer Directory Project

One of the most frustrating things when looking to buy a keg of beer in your town is knowing where to go to buy it. Sure, you can blindly jump into the local grocery store and see what domestic beers they may have in their walk in coolers, but wouldn’t you rather have the option to jump online and find a local brewery or keg retailer that has GOOD beer by the keg. Hell, they may even deliver it to your door.

i want a kegerator

The perfect t-shirt has arrived!

Now you can either make your friends jealous of you or strangers respect you from a distance. These two new kegerator t-shirts blast loud messages and both messages will bring you positive mojo.

If you’ve always wanted a kegerator, but can’t afford it or you aren’t "allowed" to have one then the i want a kegerator t-shirt is for you. This may help give friends or family a hint as to what they should get you for your next birthday, Father’s Day or Mother’s Day. (We all know mothers like them some draft beer too.)

Old Speckled Hen

So, last night I hit my local beer, wine and spirits specialty store and grabbed a bundle of Old Speckled Hen. Now I’ve tasted this before a few years ago when I was trying to become a B.B. Rovers 101 Club Member. To become a member you have to drink 101 different beers from over 300 beers on their menu.

The History of the Kegerator

The History of the Kegerator

I recently released a 10-part series on the history of the kegerator entitled "The Rise of Cold Beer Drinking" and have been getting some nice comments back on the research that was done. The articles explore the history of refrigeration and how the the kegerator came to be.

Beer.com has published all ten articles in the series on their website and I also was asked to do an exclusive  interview for the Beer.com PodCast (8MB). The guys over at Beer.com were nothing but awesome about publishing the series and I look forward to working with them in the future.

Brew Comes Home

Brew Comes Home

A friend of mine recently asked if I would like a puppy for free. "Hmmm… free puppy?" I said. "I guess." It’s hard to pass up something free and even harder to pass up something free and cute like a Golden Retriever puppy.

I brought the little guy home and appropriately named him "Brew". He has been a little hell raiser since day one, chewing on anything below knee level and wreaking havoc on all the shoes and furniture in his path. This little brew master has a lot to learn about proper home bar etiquette. He is only 8 weeks old and does not quite understand that the bathroom is outside and not the living room floor, not unlike some friends of mine.
