Kegerator Forum: Cloudy Beer!

Hi,

Just got my first Kegerator and my beer (bud) is cloudy, it's been standing for a couple of days now - could it be a bad keg?

Also I had a flow issue and removed the little ball in the coupler to solve the issue, the flow is now great but will it give me problems?

Thanks for any advise.

Do you have the plastic cage that goes above the ball (on the way to the tap)?

So the keg was bad after all, they changed it for a new one and now it's fine.

I don't think I have the cage above the ball, it all seems to be working OK without the ball.  What does the ball do?

Thanks for the help

I don't know, but I've heard its important. I did not have the cage and the ball was blocking the flow, with the cage my coupler works fine. Now I'm curious what it does.
