Kegerator Forum: First Beer of Day Always Foamy

Hello!

I just bought my first kegerator a couple of weeks ago. Overall it is working pretty well. I have a dual tower kegerator and I did buy a dual co2 regulator so I can have different pressure going to each keg.

The problem I am running in to is... It seems the first couple of beers I pour every day are foamy. I then have to go back down to the co2 regulator and drop the pressure and then increase it again to get the beer to start flowing properly. Sometimes I have to set it at a different pressure completely for it to work.

Is there any reason for the inconsistency? Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Thank you!

My issue is I don't have a beer tower cooler other than that no foam issue

I guess Im gonna by a tower cooler as well, I’m completely out of options and I think it’s because of my altitude.

I’ve been told several things contribute to a great tasting favorite or simply trying out something new. Length of beer line is a big factor in being able to get consistent pours. I started with ten’ and then started trimming. Took several tries and eventually wound up with ending at the start of the line that had no beer in it after done pouring. Not sure if that was coincidence or that’s where it should be cut. Had to take several advisors advice before coming up with what I decided.
