Hello, I’m looking at dispensing the Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout on Nitro and had several questions that hopefully can be answered. I currently own the Edgestar 15” Built-In Kegerator (BR1500BL) that I have recently dispensed various beers with, using a 5lb CO2 cylinder with no problems. I have the Kegco KC KTS97D-W D Coupler and in switching to Nitro, I have purchased a Kegco Guinness Stout Beer Faucet and a Taprite Dual Gauge Nitrogen Regulator for CGA 580 Valve. The only Nitro-Co2 mix or “Beer Gas” that I can get from my local welding supply store is a 10lb bottle which contains a 70-30 mix. It will BARELY fit in my Edgestar. Questions:
Will the Belching Beaver Stout actually work with this setup or could I potentially ruin the keg? Do I have the correct components for the job? What is the recommended dispensing pressure and temperature for a Nitro setup like this? I will be ordering this Keg from my local BevMo – should I be concerned? What else am I missing to be able to successfully pour this awesome stout with Nitro? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
