I have had my kegerator for about 8 years and never had any problems until now. I noticed recently that my C02 was getting low based on the slow flow out of the tap. I know my keg is almost empty so I was hoping to empty the keg before replacing the C02 tank. I finally decided yesterday to go ahead and exchange my C02 tank. When I initially hooked it up, I could hear C02 filling the keg. The gauge was initially around 4 psi when I hooked up the tank but went down to zero. The test beer was fine ( good head). I just got another beer and there is hardly any head and the gauge reads zero. Is it possible that the new C02 tank emptied into the almost empty keg? I'm not sure how it all works. I have only replaced the C02 tank 2 times before but both times I just connected after a refill and everything was fine. Any suggestions? Should I get a new keg and another C02 tank? Anything I can to to test?
