My roommates and i just finished making our kegerator. We have set the co2 everywhere between 3 to 10 psi and the tap just fires out foam. We switched to larger diameter hose 3/8", from the tap to the faucet. Would the larger hose cause yhe problem? And also how long till the foam settles out? And is temperature a factor in the flow of the beer. |

Are you using Beer line or line from Lowe's. If you didn't get it from a beer distributor specifically for beer, then that's your problem.
Your regulator should be set to obtain a 12 oz pour in 4-5 seconds. I set and forget mine at 10psi. Heavy foam is regular during an initial pour, but should then settle as the line equals the brews temp. Temp is never a factor in the pressure. That's all controlled by the CO2. But, beer temp will affect facial expressions. |
