Hi all!
Definitely new to kegerators, as I have never even known anyone who had one, and went to few keg parties back in the day... I'm in a band, and we practice in my garage. We go through a lot of beer, since we practice twice a week, not counting any friends that may show up. I bought an EXTREMELY used kegerator, since I have never owned one, plus I have acquaintances That are "less than careful" with the things in my garage, if ya get my drift. Well I loaded it up with a 1/2 barrel of bud light, and I've read that it needs to sit for a couple hours before dispensing, so I did. All I got was foam. I poured at least 5 empty 1/2 gallon milk cartons, hoping it would straighten out, but it didn't. I did some more research online that everything you do takes hours to take effect. Somehow I must've bumped the thermostat during installation and turned it all the way up. The next day, it was was and wouldn't dispense beer at all. I let it thaw a little, and still foam. I read that bud light should have 14 psi on the bottle. Now I have high pressure foam. One thing I noticed at the last minute, is that there are suds moving in the beer line. From what I can tell, once I pour, bubbles start at the top of the line near the faucet, and work their way down towards the keg. I tightened a few things, but it's still doing the same thing. I just ordered a couple new parts, such as a new coupler, new faucet and elbow shank, but they won't be here for a few days. If it wasn't for seeing the bubbles moving, I would assume it's a pressure issue. Does this issue sound familiar to anyone??? I waste a lot of money, but I'll take it personally if I'm wasting beer! |
