It sounds like a good idea, but you will have to be sure to take care and properly clean your line out. A friend of mine has a kegerator in his basement that he built out of a smaller fridge, and it sits in a cabinet in his wall, and his line runs about two feet to the wall behind his bar. As far as I know, he just cleans the system normally with the kit that you can buy from most kegerator websites. The only thing that you have to be careful of is the beer that remains in the line, and that is not kept cold. My friend always has to sacrifice the first beer of the day into the sink, in order to supply the line out with fresh, cold beer.
