What is the recommended pressure (CO2) setting for a kegerator? Does it vary from beer to beer? Is there a range or list of the different settings by beer or type? |

You are correct that each different beer type has a different optimal pressure setting. Another major factor is temperature. Different temperatures call for different pressure settings.
I would always start by setting the regulator pressure to a low pressure, between 3 and 5 PSI. Release the keg pressure by opening the pressure relief valve on the keg coupler. Dispense beer. Over time, the head space will re-pressurize, and you may need to relieve the keg pressure prior to dispensing again. Restore the keg pressure to proper carbonation pressures for storage. |

I've had good luck running line pressures of about 8-10psi with microbrew ales (e.g. 90 shilling, Anchorsteam, etc...). when I first got my kegerator I was running line pressures that were way too high and it made everything foamy.
Does anyone know of an online resource that has a table of beers and recommended pressures? |
