I got a brand new Danby kegerator for Christmas from COSTCO. I ordered a nice full keg of Goose Island 312 for it and installed it last Wednesday. All I can get out of it are glasses of foam however. When I first pull the dispenser handle it spits out a bunch of foam and then just pours the rest of the glass full of it. From reading the forums I see that changing the pressure is the most common thing suggested to correct the problem. The manufacturer recommends 10-12 pounds PSI and this is where I started.
I have tried turning it down to 8 pounds, 5 pounds and all the way to zero and letting it sit for several hours. I have also tried 15 pounds 18 pounds and 22 pounds. I have pulled the pressure release valve on the coupler to make sure there wasn't high residual pressure and nothing seems to work. I just get 20 oz glasses of foam one after another. All the equipment is new and clean, my glassware is clean, the washers are new and good, I am at a complete loss honestly. I am a total newbie however and there is every chance and likelihood I have something screwed up. Any ideas for me to try? |

I find that if you crack the tap open for a second, it bleeds off excess pressure (foam).... usually in a second glass nearby, then immediately start pouring, and it works great!.....
Hope this helps.... |

i am having the exact same problem with my brand new danby kegerator, i've tried all the things beerlion tried and can not get a full glass of liquid beer ever, always foam. i was using an old frig for my kegerator and NEVER had this issue. i am going to try shortening the beer tube to the minimal length possible. |
