Kegerator Forum: Foamy..Flat light beer..

I bought a used kegerator that needed an evaporator coil.  Replaced and charged and cools fine.

I installed a keg of light beer a 5 days ago and get 95% foam when pouring.  Spits foam and fizzles down to flat beer pretty quick.

Prior to installing the keg, I replaced the beer line with 7 feet of 3/16 id line.  Replaced the co2 line.  I have since bought a rebuild kit for the faucet and plan to replace that as I couldn't really clean inside the faucet with the brushes I have.

I had to buy a co2 tank and didn't realize I needed a washer until I am installing it. I used a neoprene coupling washer.  This may be a problem, hoping you guys can get me going before I loose the entire keg.

That leads me to the next question.  Is it possible I have ruined the keg since its coming out flat and fizzy.  Temperature has been stable at 35f for 4 days.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts...Greg..

Oh yeah..forgot to add.  I did modify the tower to keep the line cool by using a fan to circulate air inside the tower.  Thx..

Since this is a dead forum with no decent assistance, I'll add how I fixed the issue and maybe someone searching for help can get it this way.  The body gasket inside the faucet was pinched.  It was not leaking but must have been disturbing the pressurized beer as it passed.  It did fix the issue...
