I just purchased the Edgestar Kegerator and I am pouring mostly foam after a few seconds. The temp is running at about 41 degrees and the pour is perfect for a few seconds and then it turns to foam. We are using the factory tubing (which I believe to be about 1/2" ID clear plastic and about 4 ft long). The beer in the line has no foam. Why does my pour turn to foam and how can I fix it? |

It could be something in the shank.
I'd say turn your system off and take off the faucet first. In there is a little plunger that moves back and forth. There's a washer on the back of that plunger by the end that has a Phillips head. If you run your fingers along that and the washer is protruding past the end, that is one thing that can cause a swirling affect on the beer. I'm just now getting into the field. But I'll have more detailed resources for you guys in the next two months. I will be going to Draft School in St. Louis as I'm now the Draft Specialist for my distributor. |

Beer line is too long. Cut working pressure down to 7 psi. Optimum beer temp is 34 to 38 deg f. These are all problems that cause foam. Also when was the last time you cleaned your system? Dirty beer lines will also cause foam. |
