Temp on Danby kegerator DKC645BLS won't stay consistent.

Lanks: Our kegerator is 2 yrs. old and for the last few months the temperature keeps going up and down between 35 and 42 degrees. It's a digital readout and right after I set it at say 34,it stay's for a few minutes then starts going up for a while and back down. The beer is cold but not where it should be at. Is my sensor gone and how much trouble to replace it myself or do I have to have a tech install it for me. Thanks.

bnauta: Figured it out. I had a keg of Heineken which takes the European S coupler. The stem that goes into the keg is deeper. Now I have both types!

Slow foamy flow

Zookrew: Since I got my kegerator I was able to run a few kegs through it with no issues. More recently the flow became worse and now it trickles foam, no matter how high I set the CO2. I picked up a cleaning kit, ran it through and soaked the parts but I still have the same problem: slow and foamy. I did note that where the beer line enters the tower at the top of the interior of the fridge, there's a kink in the line. Could that be whats causing the problem? Is the only solution replacing the line?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

20ozjolt: Correction in over 6 years (freeking phone wants to turn 6 into 65gal... )

Well according to " Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety"

" What happens if Ammonia gas is accidentally swallowed (enters the digestive system)?

Ingestion is not an applicable route of exposure for gases. "

so guess I'm GTG

TRUE TDD1 used? What to look for?

jc03: Hello, I am thinking about buying a used True TDD1 from a bar/restaurant. It has a dual tower. I have no experience with these. What should I look for when I check it out? They are asking $375, does that seem like a good deal?

Foam hell

tallflyboy: I find that if you crack the tap open for a second, it bleeds off excess pressure (foam).... usually in a second glass nearby, then immediately start pouring, and it works great!.....

Hope this helps....

Video of my wild foaming kegerator, advice?

jasonkip: Hi everyone, first a big thanks to everyone who's made this such a resourceful site already.

I have an issue with my first kegerator, purchased used. I know, surprise surprise!

On one hand I hope I have addressed most of the common issues already, but on the other hand I also hope that my problem will be easy to spot for someone with more experience.

I posted a video on youtube showing my situation, which is basically wild foam. I've been lurking around since I got my first keg a week ago and have addressed many issues which I had hoped would solve my problem; including temperature, pressure and a new beer line.

here is the link to the video: http://bit.ly/xvgSZb

Right now I have a glass of water in the kegerator measuring 38F, the pressure is set to 11 and my beer line is 3/16" ID and 8' long.

A sincere thank you to everyone & anyone who takes the time to contribute!
