Can the corny kegs be taken and filled with the majority of beers or are they specifically for home brewing?

It depends. I have a bunch of micro breweries here in Austin, TX that fill Soda/Corny kegs fitted with the normal US Sankey Coupler.

But I also use Corny kegs for homebrewing. These are fitted with ball lock air and liquid disconnects. These types of kegs have a latch on the top that allows you to fully open the top when homebrewing.

I don't believe you can take a Corny keg in anywhere and have it filled with a mainsteam beer like Bud, Miller or Coors. I could be wrong though.

Anyone?
