I'm new to this and need some advice

I'd like to install a kegerator in my basement and run a line thru the wall so that I can dispense from a tap at my bar.  The kegerator would be right on the other side of the wall from the tap so total hose length would be about 3-4 feet.   Do I buy a kegerator with a tower on top and remove the tower and run the hose through the hole?  Do I need to do anything to the hose other than insulate it?

It sounds like you are on the right track. The beer line length sounds good to me. Just insulate the lines and also buy a can o' foam from a hardware store to seal the hole in the kegerator where your line exits.

Thanks !
