Keg sizes and Coupler Valve Comparison Chart
When it comes to coupler valves, most North American beer keg couplers and valves are standardized to the “D” System, which is also called the North American Sankey system. There are a few breweries which use other systems, or specialty valves and couplers, but these are mostly European brands. In most cases, the type of valve and coupler will be decided by the manufacturer. Mini kegs have their own coupler system, which is dependent upon the brand of mini keg dispenser, and are integrated units. In general, the type of valve and coupler can be decided by the chart below.
